Linux Communication Program (ala hyperterminal)

Hey guys, do any of you use a Linux box to program routers?
I am wondering what is a good Linux-equiv to hyperterm. I am looking for something other than minicom, as I do not like it very much or find it easy to use!!!
Thanks,
Travis

You can simply telnet into the router. If you are in a GUI linux environment, open up a virtual terminal, and telnet from there.
