Well last week I failed with an 809, pretty sure I missed an entire sim question.
I have been studying all week, took the last couple days a little easier, trying to soak up everything and I think Im alot more prepared.
At the same time I feel like I still dont have enough of the little details memorized.
I am sitting the test at 2pm today. Im pretty sure if I can complete all the sims I will pass. Here is a breakdown of my trouble shooting steps. Please feel free to advise a better method.
1. show run
-check to make sure correct int have correct ip's/mask's
-make sure the interface is not shutdown
-clock rate on dce side
-acl is correct if or present
-routing protocol is correct or present
-routing protocol networks are advertised or present
a. if problem found move to 2.
b. if problem not found move to 3.
2. fix the problem
ping required equipment
3. show cdp neighbors detail to confirm ip address of remote router
show int serial 0
- check encapsulation
- double check ip
show ip route
-make sure routes are correctly configured
Basically I know its all about reading between the lines on the question and keeping my cool and simply thinking about the problem. But I seem to kinda of get anxious and have to re-read the question like 4 or 5 times before something clicks.
Ill let you all know.

Try and relax. Watch the time and don't worry about any of the questions you've already answered -- just focus on the next question.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

zero-g-smith Member Posts: 41 ■■□□□□□□□□Ok well here is the update.........I failed with an 847.
Planning and Designing 75%
Tech 65%
Implementation and Operation 75%
Troubleshooting 96%
The proctor (actually he owned the testing center) told me to email cisco for a test audit since I was so close. Not sure if that would do any good.
Im just sick, I cant believe I failed at 847. I pretty much wanna give up on cisco. -
