hi
I thought of a possible situation that may occur. I will take the hardware
exam in october and probably pass, then I will take the software exam
in november, if I fail, and try to retake it again in november, or
dec or even january late, will they let me retake the old OS exam
even though everyone is starting to take the NEW exam which may come out by then. thanks

I would say so. The old A+ won't expire to at least end of December 2006 I believe - it should be on the CompTIA site. Even then, CompTIA may extend the period.
Just try not to fail!!!
