Microsoft exams

Hello - I'm new and going through a complete career switch.

I've just gone through A+ and Network+ and am wondering about the differences between these and Microsoft exams. I am currently studying the 70-215 with XP and then the 218 to follow for the MCSA.

Any general advice on approaching theMicrosoft papers?

I'd love to go staright on to the MCSE (it's fascinating!), but the need for a) money and b) experience, will probably dictate getting the first suitable job I can, at the moment.

Cheers

    Hi Babbage

One of the differences between the CompTIA certs and the Microsoft ones is that the CompTIA ones are vendor neutral while the MS ones are... uh, geared more toward a certain unnamed company. icon_lol.gif

I find it curious that you are studying for the 215 (2000 server) on XP... or did I misunderstand?

No sorry, that's my misleading punctuation - XP (270) and the 218 are to follow!

What you seem to be saying then is that there is no change of approach required - just do the work and answer the questions! (Well that's fair enough...)
