They (usually) require at least one state-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or something, and another ID with your name on it. Odd thing is, I came with my driver's license and my green card for my exams, and they keep on just using my credit card instead of the green card. The explanation was that "we can only take state-issued licenses, or known ID's, such as credit cards". Odd, since the green card was issued by the federal government, but the state ID still somehow overrides it.

I've only needed to show my driver's license and library card. Both have my picture on it. I've also been told by an exam center person that a checkbook with checks having the same address as on my drivers license would suffice as a second form of ID.
