ello,

iam new to the IT industry and always trying to be different, yesterday i was at a local IT conference hosted by microsoft a general survey was taken to see exactly what certs / education the people in attendance held. Two certs that no one had were linux certifications and storage area network / network attached storage certs

my questions is are there no demand for people who hold these certs?

There is a demand for those people, we have vendors working for us who specialize only in Novell and Linux, the guys says that those make up 70% of their business and that Novell is really starting to make a comeback (at least from what he has seen he says).
