Dynamic disks....Can someone explain this explanation?

This is a quote from the EC2 book for 70-270:

Also, dynamic disks do not have the same constraints of basic disks. For example, a dynamic disk can be resized on-the-fly without requiring a reboot.

Can someone explain what they mean by resizing on the fly without reboot? I take it to mean choosing Extend the Volume in Disk Mgt which would make it a Spanned volume if it covered 2 physical disks, but I just wanted to make sure there isnt a feature they dont cover in the MSP book.

It's the on-the-fly without reboot that's throwing me off. icon_eek.gif

You're right about spanning volumes and no reboot. If you're asking about resizing partitions through disk management, thats a no go. :D
