dynamic disks

Does anyone know what dynamic disks are versus basic disks? I keep seeing that on review sheets and practice questions and I'm not sure what it means.
Thanks,
Greg

Dymanic disks use dymanic volumes or logical drives instead of partitions.
Basic disk has primary and extended partitions on it Thats how it works in w2k anyway.

Dynamic disks are beyond the scope of the A+ exams, don't worry about them too much for now. I didn't run across anything on them until I hit 70-270.
