My first IT job?

So I landed a job with Comcast cable the other day, I will be doing IP support, is this a good IT start or will it mean nothing to the IT world?

Im not wayne Member Posts: 49 ■■□□□□□□□□I will be answering calls for their customers that are having issues with their phone service or their high speed internet, troubleshooting it a bit over the phone and then sending a tech if I cannot fix the issue.A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I hope to use it as such, its really, really "starter" for what I know I can do/do indeed do but havent as a job yet.A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

DirtySouth Member Posts: 314 ■□□□□□□□□□Absolutely thats a great start! You'll definitely learn some interesting troubleshooting techniques and it will improve your customer service skills as well. A company like Comcast will probably have plenty of opportunities for advancement too. Good Luck!
