Passed Today
I took security+ today and passed with a score of 803. I used testout, preplogic, transcender, and the security-all-in-one book along with the exam cram 2. I gotta tell you I saw questions on the exam I did not see before in any of the practice tests, so make sure you are ready to pass it when you take it and take that into consideration. Know IPsec, VLAN, VPN, hardening of networks, pcs, applications. Know your ISAKMP, encryption, digital certificates and what satisfies what, ssh, ssl, and ports. Also know your attacks, syn, smurf, sniffing, war driving, etc.

Security+ is indeed a lot harder than Network+ provided you don't have much room for error. ( You need to get 764 to pass it ). I would suggest taking Network+ first as it would greatly help you understanding some of the concepts in Security+.Every day hurts, the last one kills. -
