I took the INTRO exam today and got a 1000/1000 on it. I know that i over prepared for it because I actually studied to take the one test route, but my employer paid for the test so I went the easier route to be safe. At any rate, I studied the Sybex book by Lammle and did the Mindleaders courses. I studied for a few hours a day every day for the last two months, and it all just sort of "made sense" when I was taking it. I used several simulators but having a real lab was very helpful. I can't wait to take the ICND next month, I want the cert!

Haha, funny! I already have, to be honest. I'm probably going to take it within the next few weeks just to get it out of the way. I studied to take the 640:801 but my boss suggested the INTRO/ICND route because it would let me have a better shot at passing. Oh well, it's their money!CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA

Yeah well I'd saved up only about seven minutes for the last question because you're not allowed to go back once you finish a question and I was trying to be 100% sure of myself before moving on, and it turned out that the last question was by far the longest and most drawn out. Without giving away too much detail of the test, I had to configure a network given a bin of hardware, cabling, and subnet information, then configure the hardware (serial links and ethernet) to work together, configure passwords, and verify that the network works.
Whoever says that the CCNA is a month cert is out of their minds. Even if you work with this stuff in a professional environment daily (Which I do) it's very challenging, because you have to break your habits and think "The Cisco Way! (tm)."CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA
