Time Between Intro and ICND Exams

Does anyone know how much time can pass between the time you take and pass the CCNA Intro exam until you have to take and pass the ICND exam?

I think I remember reading somewhere that you have 12 months to take the ICND after the INTRO, but I wouldn't wait even remotely that long.CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA
