I work in an Engineering company in Sydney.
My wife is keen to look for an Accounting job in London. She reckons pays is better than Sydney.

I think it's all relative. When I was contracting in Sydney (2000 - 2003) the market was superb, I also used an umbrella company that handled all my tax and also got my sponsorship. They got me some great tax benefits too. Here's a link to their London and Aussi brances

London is very expensive to live, accomodation, public transport etc.. but if you can get a job, make some cash and save it to take back, the exchange rate should give you a nice sum for your return home.
