Erasing flash in rommon

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question im sure. I have taken a risk and brought a router of ebay sold with errors. It boots into rommon and when i did dir flash: it gives the following output.

File size Checksum File name
1996940 bytes (0x1e788c) 0xc0b2 c3640-i-mz.111-14.AA

This to me looks ok if i had brought a 3640 buts its a 2610 lol. I have tried loading a new image and it transfers fine but towards the end displays.

meminfo outputs -

Main memory size: 32 MB.
Available main memory starts at 0x10000, size 32704KB

I'm trying to delete the incorrect image but have trouble working this one out, even google and cisco seem to be hiding this.

Any help or hints would be appreciated.

how big the image? how much flash and dram do you have on the router? last question how much does image require or what is the image name .. you can find the requirements that way

It looks like you're trying to put a 12meg image in 4megs of flash. Find a small 26xx image or upgrade the flash.

Thanks guys i'll look at my collection to see if i have a smaller image. Just out of interest i could find out the ram size in rommon but anyone know where to find the flash?

Just to let everyone the final outcome. As per suggestions above i used c2600-i-mz.120-3.T3 which is 3,528 which managed to fit. This then erased the old ios .

Now the router seems to be functioning well.

Which means im a happy bunny for taking the risk buying it after all.
