dual boot
I have a gateway laptop running window ME w/ 128 mb ram.
when i boot it up, it boots straight into DOS
How can i fix this.
the drive has not been reformatted or partitioned.all original os files are there under dos but i can't boot into WINDOWS ME

carbunkle Member Posts: 97 ■■□□□□□□□□what I normally do is just pop in the install cd and wait about an hour any time I get an OS problem but you might look at the msdos.sys file I think thier is something like "bootgui=0" change that to 1 but I ahve no idea why that would be changed in the first place.

prich Member Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□I booted up off a ME bootdisk. once at a:\ prompt i did a sys c: command.
transferred successfully. now able to boot into ME.
