PASSED CCNA!

optimusoptimus Member Posts: 183
Hello everyone,

Today I did it. I passed. I never told anyone, not even my wife I would take it today. I believe all that does it add to my nerves. It was my first attempt, and I am here to tell you that if you really take your time, and study until you really understand the theory, you can too. Also, I have a small lab, and a simulator (NETSIM CCNP), and I can not for the life of me understand how anyone could even hope to pass without actual router experience.

Thanks for the support and helpful postings.

I am now beginning my adventure soon to CCNP and hope to troll over to that board soon. I am going to take a small break though, and refresh my CCNA material for a month or so. I want a very strong foundation going into the CCNP.

    Yes, it was the one exam option. No way was I going to gruel over two exams when I didn't have too.

    Ditto here! icon_wink.gif
    I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

    first of all, congrats man! That's awesome.

    Also I know exactly what you mean. I failed the first time and had so many people asking me how I did it, I decided on the second run I would only tell my boss, that morning... having the added pressure of telling people bad news doesn't help much.

    Again, good job! I got mine yesterday and am still pretty psyched.

    Definitely... what about you? I think I am going to get my CWNA first and then go for the BCMSN. I'm just confused on the release dates for the new NP books... some are available now... some aren't coming out till July... ? guess I should ask in the NP forum. See you there!

    I'm taking the 811 Tomorrow at 2 (had to re-schedule from earlier this month due to the flu, ew) and starting the DA after so that I've got the foundation of associate level certs, plus it'll let publishers get the new NP materials out.

    Yes, I am going to go for my CCNP. I am gonig to restudy some of the CCNA for the next month to build a stonger foundation. It will be nice studying without any pressure of an exam looming. Then I am going to start to purchase material for the CCNP, more lab equipment, and books. I noticed the CCNP has entered a new "phase" of tests. I guess that is good news for us. We don't have to worry about it switching again for some time.

    Good luck with your studys.
