MCSA/MCSE pathway

Hey everyone,
I have completed my 270 and 290 and I am currently working for my 291. What I want to know is, can the 299 be taken as an elective for both MCSA and MCSE?
The path which I intend to take is:
270 - completed
290 - completed
291 - working on
299
MCSA
then:
293
294
298
MCSE
then:350
MCSE: Security
Is this correct?

Yes that is correct.

Also if i replace the 299 with the 431 would that make me both a MCSA and MCTS, leading to my MCSE?
