Regardless if you have to work on the weekends or not, it is a good opportunity to gain some experience which is essential in today's marketplace. I wouldn't mind working after hours or weekends if it gives me the essential experience I need to make my career better in the future. Are you thinking about some new certification goals to align with what you are doing or where the company business could be heading?:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

But yeah, do what you need to do to get ahead where you're at -- it sounds like fun! Maybe grab the 2 Doyle Volumes and try to go through a chapter a week to keep up your Cisco skills (just in case). And consider one of the overview Cisco Security exams.... still Cisco-centric, but Security is always helpful (and it will re-certify your CCNA down the road).
Hum.... and maybe your company could decide to become a Cisco Partner....:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -
