Building a test server
WingedTek
Hello all,
I'am going to be building a test server to have it for my windows server 2003 studys. Has any one else setup test servers to help you study the windows 2003 server material such as installing it, Active Directory, DNS, WINS? Is it a good idea or em I wasting my time? Thanks
John

Its a must. I just got mine up and running this weekend (firewall issues at work delayed it), and I am going back through the practices and it helps me understand this info so much.

What are you using to study through it? Are you using a guide to install and setup windows 2003 (play around with it)?

I highly recommend getting the MS Press book for 70-290. You'll get a 180-day evaluation copy of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, plus you'll get hands-on experience by doing the exercises in the book.

What he said. I'm using the MS Press book. All the exercises work together and you really go through setting up a server with most of the function 2003 offers.
