Sorry if this has been asked,

Is there a colour standard for cable jacket for cross-over or roll-over cables, like they have it for pairs inside?. I need to make couple of cross-over cables, which colour should i choose, Red or can i use any available colour and tag it ?.

Thanks.

Their is no TIA/EIA Standard for cable colors.
Many companies have their own standards.

Although, it is best practice to use colored standards within
    an organization. For example;

    Blue - Data
    Red - Crossover
    White - Voice
    Black - Rollover

    etc... you get the drift...
There is no place like 127.0.0.1

Yup colour coding cables within an organization is very common and also very handy. I think also labeleling cables is also very good practice, so when it comes to a time when some re-patching needs to be done or something everything is so much easier.

many thanks, seems unofficial colour standard exists, i've noticed companies shipping different cable colour coding scheme for different products, can someone confirm this ?

    SOHO products
yellow - with wireless adsl modem router / wireless access point
    grey - standard
    blue - cable modem

    with routers
    yellow - wireless
    green - data
    red - crossover
light blue(flat cable) - roll over

observed from netgear, linksys, huawei, tp-link, SMC and cisco products.
