What would you suggest is the best book to learn/practice subnetting? I'm wanting to get something that will let me practice, whether it be book exercises or a CD. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Kaminsky Member Posts: 1,235Having recently had the light go on with subnetting I wouldn't suggest you need to buy anything. Just look at many previous posts in this forum, the tech tips at the top of the forum and subnettingquestions link above for lots and lots and lots of practice and figuring out where your going wrong.
Oh.. and while your learning, work in binary. Really.. That is the trick that gets it across the easiest of all and helps you visualise what is going on.Kam. -

You should go though subnetting in the Cisco Press books, to make sure you get all the background information, since you may need it some day if you continue on with Cisco Certifications -- but the Sybex book will "show you the trick."
There is also the www.learntosubnet.com website if you want some more study before you tackle the question on the subnettingquestions website.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set!
