can anyone tell me the difference between XP Home Ed and XP Pro?
I'm currently studying the 270 and using the home edition, i've been insisted that i get plenty of practice with XP Pro. I'm worried that i may be limited to extra features available on the pro edition, if there is any.

You definitely need Pro for the MCSE exams for several reasons, listed here:
