Just looking for some advice for the best study material to initially learn cisco, I've read Exam Cram for both of my certifications thus far but already had a good foundation. Not to mention the exams weren't difficult to say the least. I've been told go with sybex for learning cisco I don't plan to take the ccna exam for about another year until after i finish my degree but just looking for something to study with in the mean time. Please advise thanks

The CCNA Forum FAQ has a book section.

Usually a combination of Cisco Press and Sybex works best for the CCNA. The Sybex book is more fun to read and is great for learning Subnetting. The Cisco Press books are complete in covering the material (and then some) that you need to know.

When you get to subnetting stage, (which I think is Chapter 3, Variable length subnet masks or VLSM's) then visit this site www.learntosubnet.com

Not long been studying fo this one myself, on subnetting at the moment.
Future planned exams are as follows: CCNA, Windows 2003 Server 70-290

    Enoch Powell 1968
