guys i am having problem with a win XP client. IT is a standalone workstaion and I usually use it at home to connect it to inernet. however I want to control it remotely.And after enabling remote desktop I am still not able to connect to my computer remotely.A message displayed that terminal server is not available .is there any solution....

sprkymrk Member Posts: 4,884 ■■■□□□□□□□TCP Port 3389 needs to be open all the way between you and the remote workstation. Routers and firewalls (including personal firewalls) need to be configured to allow the traffic.All things are possible, only believe.

Sie Member Posts: 1,195Also remember you need to have a passworded account on the system in order to access. None passworded accounts wont work.
Also the way you do it depends where you accessing from: Same network or over tinterweb.
Take a look at Remote Desktop Web Connection if its from internet. If your on network (physically or VPN etc) normal RDP will work fine.Foolproof systems don't take into account the ingenuity of fools -

Just passed MCP, shame on me.
Thats the problem 70-270 only goes about xp-pro.
