There's 'know' and there's eat, sleep and breathe...the latter is CCIEville (imho).
We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?

But without that certificate, there's the proving it! There is also the problem of the recruitment agency's computer picking the CV/Resume you sent in out from the croud by nmuonic searches in order for you to come up on their screen as a potential candidate for them to put forward. These days, getting you out there is not that easy and you can't expect someone to think "oh this guy knows it all" and see you into the next job.

From the sounds of your post your hacked off. My suggestion. Bide your time and certify. You will whistle through it fast and then you rub their noses in it!

    Good luck buddy!
    Kam.

Even with the CCIE Certification you have to prove it. If your looking for a certification that guarantees you will succeed in the workplac you will not find one. You do want to ace the interview and then get let go within 90 days because you don't know the ins and outs of the routing and switching in a network environment. Troubleshooting comes with experience that will never be replaced with any of today's degrees or certification. There is always a Mesh Network that works differently from other places and you have to be ready to adapt to the workplace situation that you applied for...
