I got a new job!

Hey folks, I interviewed for a network specialist position this Monday. I got a phone call today saying the job was mine if I was still interested. Needless to say I was still VERY interested. I'm really excited about this position. The job is in County Government, we have around 1000 clients, and MANY remote offices. The network consists of Windows servers, cisco routers, and HP switches. The department is currently working 8 - 4 M - F but I was told that will probably change to 4 - 10's and alternating days off by the time I start! That'll be sweet to have the weekend off, as well as one week day. Anyway, thanks for listening. I just wanted to tell someone, so there it is... :D

Good luck to all the folks that are currently job hunting. It'll work out when it's meant to be. I firmly believe that!

Thanks for the support everyone! Kaminsky mentioned learn all you can, and I think that is one of the main things I'm really stoked about. I get to learn new stuff. :)

Well, the 9.56 per hour raise doesn't hurt either. lol

Seems to be the time of year for it. I've just got a new job last week. Best I have had so far and that is 4 days on 4 days off too. Turned it down before Christmas as the 4 on 4 off freaked me out at first. 11 hour shifts alternate morning, evening then nights are fairly hefty too but when you think what you can do with the 4 days off after you have got upto spead with the new job, it's pretty cool.

Obviously, once I have finished redecorating for the mrs (you know thats coming) I can dig in to certying, certifying, certifying. No point in standing still in this game. These boards are a testimony to that.

Wish you well in your new job Davenport. Have fun.
    Kam.
