Couldn't you copy the encrypted file to a non-NTFS drive?

    The fact that the file is ntfs..copying it to a non-ntfs OS system like FAT will probably render that file corrupt or unusable.

    The operating system will ask if you wish to decrypt this file if you move it to a non-fat file system. Then again, to move and decrypt the file, you had to have had access to it anyways.

    You need to be a data recovery agent to decrypt this file or be the original owner of the encryption (you would have the key) or your data is totally lost.

    If you don't have the key, when you try to move the file you will get an access denied.
    All things are possible, only believe.
