Hey guys,
Although this is my first post here, I've been lurking for a few weeks. Just wanted to say thanks for the help even though you didn't know you gave me any! I sat for the exam about 3 weeks ago and failed with a 847 (2 points!!!!) which I was OK with as I only had 2 days of study time. I had a voucher I had to use and didn't realize it expired.
Any way, I had planned to wait a few more weeks as I've been working on a huge project at work, but one of our VP's I think heard I had been studing and wanted me to be certified by April 1st. I found out last Friday, no pressure right? Pretty much studied all weekend, as well as Wed. and Thurs. , took the test Thurs. afternoon and passed with 898. Not as good as I would have liked, but I'll take it.
Although I do this all day I will say this exam was quite a bit harder than I was expecting for an 'entry level' exam. So much is covered its crazy. Now I got the bug and I think I'm going to press on to the CCNP right away
For those that don't pass the first time, don't let it get to you. I work on Cisco gear everyday and just got done with a complete Network upgrade and still found it tough.

First of all, congratulations!
About that "entry level" inadequacy - think of it as a foundation for all those advanced topics and you will soon change your mind.
You have to have a solid foundation to build stable and long lasting pyramids -

I totally agree. The last IT exam I took was many years ago and was a Microsoft exam. Lets just say that was easier in my book, the Cisco exam was no joke (not that I expected it to be but you know what I mean).
Thanks for all the congrats!
Does anyone know if the Cisco exams are adaptive? It sure seemed that my second exam was harder than the first (even though I passed) so I was wondering if it was smart enough to hammer me on topics that I got wrong the first time. -
