Next friday would be more sane.
Also consider alternative source in addition to Sybex edition. -

Sorry to hear about your recent result, I failed my CCNA on my first attempt too. I have passed on my second attempt. I also suggest you study from multiple sources - I bought odom's ICND book, cisco flash card and ccna command quick reference. Make sure you memorise all the important commands and of course learn how to subnet in your head. -
kenjensen24 Member Posts: 5 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks.......Easter bunny Huh?!?! My daughter would love that.......I also use flah cards.......I also took a class with a Cisco Academy Instructor........yes i can subnet in my head....I find the subnetting parts really easy......God please let me pass!!!!

You can't count on the same test. I reregistered because of name problems and still got a totally different exam. The idea of opening with hard questions is to freak you out and it sure worked for me. You then get a bunch of easier questions near the end which you don't think you've enough time for.
I knew exactly what to do with the access list sim and I was still totally stressed. Doing it as question 1 I admit is not very nice. It's an easy sim - maybe they think this will settle you in. It doesn't -
Cucumber Member Posts: 192I recommend you reading these books to fill the blanks:
Cisco Press, CCNA Self Study Guide (INTRO & ICND), Wendel Odom
CCNA Study Guide (Exam 640-801) , Richard Deal (Skip the 1900 switch parts)

Ah crap. Did I **** up and study the 1900 commands for no reason? In the Sybex book he discusses the 1900 commands as well as the 2950 commands. Are the 1900 commands not on the test anymore?
EDIT: That's hilarious. The forum replaces the F word with love."You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" - Rocky -

Awesome. Thanks for asking this question. I wanted to ask it but feared the reprisal should it be obscurely buried somewhere in the FAQ.
Shhh, don't rat me out."You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" - Rocky -
Cucumber Member Posts: 192I did not memorize any 1900 command for my CCNA and I would not study them if I had to present the CCNA again. CCNA is all about the 2950 switch.I hate pandas
