Can't delete public folder contents

I added a post to the internet newsgroups folder and I can't delete it now. It's saying:

"Some items cannot be deleted. They were either moved or already deleted, or access was denied."

I have domain admin access and the proper permissions to the folder.

Looks like I had to manually set the permissions manually through the exchange system manager. I had author permissions, but could not delete anything.
