Is there a guide to understanding Cisco equipment names?
Paul Boz
I know that I can reference Cisco's website for each individual piece of equipment, but is there a way to decipher the specifications of a piece of equipment given the product name? For example, I have several WS-C2916M-XL model switches. I know that it is a 2900 series switch with 16 ports, but what does the WS, M, and XL stand for? Is there a chart that explains this for all Cisco equipment?
