Trunking on a non fast ethernet router port?
redgoblin
Has anyone ever tried trunking on an 2610 router? I know that Cisco and books say that you can only trunk on a FastEthernet port but I've read various forums which suggest you *can* trunk on an Ethernet port so long as you have the right IOS. Just wondering if anyone has actually had success with doing this?

Yes, I have a 2610 at home with a 10Mb trunk to a 2950. You need an IOS with 'IP Plus'. If I remember correctly it has to be version 12.1 or higher, but the part that makes the trunking available is IP Plus so if you get a 12.3 IPplus it should work fine.
