Paul Boz Member Posts: 2,620 ■■■■■■■■□□It's used in OSPF to generate default routes, but I can guarantee you that you will not see anything about that on the CCNA exam. Just worry about how to make a static default route (ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 [exit interface or ip address]) and you'll be fine.
