CCIE R&S IOS version

[/u][/i][/b] I am setting up my CCIE home lab with following HW:
4 * 3640
1* 2520 as FR switch
3* 2503 as Boarder router

Switches:
3550 andcat 2950

Which IOS image version do I need for the above HW considering preparation for CCIE R&S.

From the Cisco R&S Lab Equipment and IOS Version page:

* 3725 series routers - IOS 12.4 mainline – Advanced Enterprise Services
    * 3825 series routers - IOS 12.4 mainline – Advanced Enterprise Services
    * Catalyst 3550 series switches running IOS version 12.2 – IP Services
    * Catalyst 3560 Series switches running IOS version 12.2 - Advanced IP Services

You'd want a 12.4 Enterprise Plus on the 3640s
.... and the best you can do on the 2500s is a 12.3

Upgrade the 3550s to the latest EMI image. The link to Cisco to upgrade switch IOS is in this thread:

You can also check out some of the workbook providers to see what they use/suggest in their racks -- InternetworkExpert for example
