Outlook won't except new Windows password.

I am having problem with an employee's outlook account. His password expired over the weekend so he changed it today. He can login to windows fine but when he launches outlook it will not except his new password. If he enters his previous password it will ask him to change it but will not accept a new password. He connects using exchange over http.

I tried resetting his password again, recreating his outlook profile and reinstalling Microsoft Office but had no luck. I disabled the exchange over http settings for now because then it doesn't prompt him for his username and password. I am using Outlook 2003. Any help would be appreciated, I have run out of ideas.

I had a user with a similar problem before:

    Ask user to close outlook
Reset Users Password to the same password in AD
    Asked user to lock PC
Make a cuppa icon_lol.gif (take 15mins to ensure AD replication across servers)
    Unlock computer and test.

    Worked for me.

I assume you tried logging in with domain\username & password ?
