ATM cables. (I know this no longer covered.)
Can someone tell me the type of cables used for ATM connection?

georgemc Member Posts: 429ATM connections typically use multi-mode fiber with SC connectors. There is also equipment that uses single-mode fiber (longer reach). ST connectors are also commonly used.
You can also run ATM over twisted pair but this is not nearly as common.

EdTheLad Member Posts: 2,111 ■■■■□□□□□□ATM is layer 2 and runs on top of a layer 1 protocol.Typically ATM runs over sdh,pdh, dsl, generally you will get a mix of fibre and copper.Networking, sometimes i love it, mostly i hate it.Its all about the $$$$
