I need to finish a lab at school pretty quickly, so I don't have time to order any cables online. Can someone recommend the best place to get networking cables without paying a fortune? I.e. consoles, straight-throughs, etc.

oh, and you don't have access to cables at school? hell, the first night in my CCNA 1 class we had to make our own cables (crossover and rollover, i believe)Fantastic. The project manager is inspired.

I've already used all the cables I made (only 3). I need a rollover cable (serial) to go with the one I have for my other computer. Radio Shack has them, but for $35.00 (whoa). I'm looking elsewhere. -

Tricon7,
Do you remember how to make rollover cables from Cisco Networking Academy Semester 1? -

Yes, but I don't have access to the materials anymore. I guess I'll have to check with my instructor, but I really need this work done before then. I guess I don't have any choice *sigh*. -

Tricon7,
Firstly, as a graduate of Semester 1 and Semester 2, you should have access to the Cisco Networking Academy Program curriculum materials at http://cisco.netacad.net . Use your login from classes.
Secondly, do you remember how to make a 568b.2 straight through cable? -

I don't have the physical materials - no cabling, connectors, crimping tools, etc., needed to make the necessary cables. -
