How to get a certificate for QA?

I'm interested in learning (Quality Assurance) software testing .. If you guys know how to get a valuble certificate for QA...please share. thanks in advance. I'm planning to join a class next week which they provide training for QA.

I'm familiar with QA. There are no QA certifications that command respect or high pay in the USA. However, whatever widget you happen to be testing, you can become certified in the technologies that it uses and the tools you're using to validate those technologies. That will improve your rank and pay. As with most technical fields, a CS/EE degree is highly desired and often required for high-paying QA positions. It should be obvious that understanding how software and hardware systems are constructed or used in the field can make one better at identifying likely failure scenarios before customers hit them.
