The Microsoft IT Academy program is aimed squarely at addressing the IT workforce shortage. It empowers schools to prepare more students for academic studies or certification by offering high-quality IT training programs based on Microsoft advanced technologies. For full details on this exciting new workforce development initiative, please visit: www.microsoft.com/education/msitacademy.
Pearson VUE is a participating testing partner for the Microsoft AATC Channel. Below is a list of FAQs for exam candidates.
What is the AATC testing program?
The AATC testing program offers students and instructors of academic institutions (high schools and post-secondary schools) the opportunity to take a subset of the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exams at a reduced price. To receive the discount, exam candidates must currently attend or be employed by an academic institution and must take their exams at a Pearson VUE AATC. Pearson VUE AATCs are Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Centers located within academic institutions.
Is it mandatory that testing sites who want to deliver AATC exams also be enrolled in the IT Academy Program?
No. Secondary schools and colleges with a 7-month program may offer the discounted exams by becoming a Pearson VUE AATC. Pearson VUE AATCs are not required to join the IT Academy.
Who is eligible for the AATC discounted exams?
The AATC discounted exams are offered only to students and instructors that currently attend, or are employed by, a high school or accredited post-secondary school (institutes of higher learning).
What exams are eligible for the AATC discount?
The following MCP exams are offered for the AATC discount:
MCDST Exams
MCSA Exams
MCAD Exams
