AT modem commands
The practice exam on this site questions AT commands to control modems. I guess my question is whether or not I'll see AT commands on the 221.

But have in mind it's 20 random questions, so anything can be thrown your way -
Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminIt has become so hard to disclose any information about the exam except for "read the exam objectives at the CompTIA site", but I would have to say yes, you might be questioned on particular AT commands, and like Cross says: It's always good to know.
I'm working on a Modems TechNote here:
www.techexams.net/technotes/modems.shtml but it is very preliminary. However it does contain a list of common AT commands. Trying them out will make it easy to memorize them. Actually most of them are quite simple: in ATD D stands for Dial, in ATH H stands for Hangup ATA is Answer....

Check out the above site. I use this all the time while I'm at work since I work for an ISP. Plus they have modem strings based on just about every modem you could think of.
