Thanks eveyone, I grabbed a date in late January right away, and will probably keep an eye out for cancelations in September or October. From the score report and what I can remember, I think I was probably only a few questions away. I have a few areas I need to work on hard, and I will be ready for another shot.
Recon successful

How was the rubber chicken lunch?I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

dtlokee Member Posts: 2,378 ■■■■□□□□□□Lunch at the CCIE lab is a sort of double edged sword (atleast for me). You're hungry and ready to eat, but at the same time, you know the lab is half over, and you still have a lot of work to do.
Some people don't eat. Generally everyone looks like a bunch of zombies, bordering on regressing into a fetal state, convulsing on the floor.
Both times I was there no one really talked, Howard (in my opinion the best of the lab proctors I have met, even if he is a Packers fan) came in an struck up a conversation. He's an interesting fellow and I enjoy talking to him. I still want to take him up on his "I'd rather take the lab than grade them" statement. The only easy day was yesterday! -
ITdude Member Posts: 1,181 ■■■□□□□□□□Yea right! Easy for him to say, right.
I think you are correct. You are hungry but by eating you assure that later on you will start dozing off. Well, maybe not. The adrenaline probably keeps you going.
At least it is nice to see that some of the proctors are normal people that talk and may even have a somewhat normal life.I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

sprkymrk Member Posts: 4,884 ■■■□□□□□□□Cool. Have you kept up on your lab and studies, or did silly little things like family life and work get in the way?All things are possible, only believe.
-
PCHoldmann Member Posts: 450Yes to both.
I have kept them up, but not to the level I would have liked. I am going to need to get some more rack time and a few more practice labs before then. I have worked on strengthening the areas I know I am weaker on, like security and QoS, but both are broad enough that it is hard to really guage readiness.

PCHoldmann Member Posts: 450Well, headed back again on Monday. Hopefully things will go better this time.
I learned my lesson last time, and will be taking a break after this, pass or not. It is just too hard to keep focus, and proper study is difficult.
Anyways, I will keep you all updated.

You can also "study" 640-822 to get your CCENT...you don't want to be "missing" that one in your cisco set....it'll stick out like a sore thumb
Best wishes to those who are working on CCIE in '07....Jack of all trades, master of none -
