Link Light Question

Do link lights on ethernet switches indicate layer 2 connectivity, or just layer 1?
More systems have been wiped out by admins than any cracker could do in a lifetime.

    someone Correct me if i'm wrong but Link light indicates layer 1 and the activity light indicates layer 2 connectivity. If there is no activity light, then it's probably layer 1.
    There is no place like 127.0.0.1 BUT 209.62.5.3 is my 127.0.0.1 away from 127.0.0.1!
