here is what my lab consist of.

Router A- 2501- 16mb dram/ 4mb flash 11.0 (boostrap) 11.2(17) IOS
Router B-2501- 16mb dram/ 4mb flash 11.0 (boostrap) 11.2(17) IOS
Router C-2501- 16mb dram/ 4mb flash 11.0 (boostrap) 11.2(17) IOS
Router D- 2611 - 32 MB dram/ 8mb flash 11.3(2)xa4 Booststrap 12.0(3)T3 IOS
Router E- 2611 wierd loading.

Aight first thing is this: my 2501 doesnt seem up to date . (11.2 ???) need an update version of IOS. but which should i choose for each one, there so many, IP plus, enterprise, ect...

and also does the dram and flash on the routers look to low??? ( for newer version IOS)

also i did the same configuration on hyper terminal on each router ( i set it to 9600 tranfer, flow control none and ect.) and the my router E had wierd symbols.

i read that the config could be different, and i would have to use a diffreent trasnfer rate. But how do can i tell which transfer speed to set it up at???

thanks for looking.

here is what my router E did

    Hi,

Yeah, you are running low of memory and flash, try upgrade to 16/16 for the 2500 and 64/16 for the 2600.

If you are using windows hyperterminal, open a new session with different rates and try one by one until you see the boot, if you see the boot in one different, just go to line con 0 and just type this: speed 9600 to change it back and do wr mem, reboot, then open a new session with 9600 and you will see the boot.

    Hope this help. icon_wink.gificon_wink.gif

    Hi.

I got my 2500 routers running enterprise because this IOS has IS-IS but for CCNA IP-Plus will be enough.

    Hope this help.

    Hi,

To this router you can put one 32MB DRAM and 16MB of flash, you have right now one slot with 32 and one with 16 of DRAM and one of 4 MB of flash, take out the flash and the 16MB of DRAM and replace that for 32/16.

    Hope this help. icon_wink.gif

I'd suggest you change it back to 9600 which is the default for your other routers.

To do that you need to change your config-register in global config mode.
