looking for good beginners book
Hi,
I want to go study for the network+ exam but i need a good beginners book.
Can anybody recommend a good beginners book.
I read about the mike meyers book but he doesnt talk about apple unix and linux in the book and the book has information about the old exam and the cd that comes with the book has practice exams for the old exam.
I bought the network+ exam n10-003 book from shimonski.
Does anybody know a good book for a beginner?
Thanks

matradley Member Posts: 549I really liked this book - http://www.amazon.ca/Network%2B-Exam-Cram-N10-003/dp/0789732548/ref=sr_1_5/701-3719878-0388302?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1180301319&sr=1-5 . I found it quite easy to follow and full of points of interest to focus into for the examination. Mind you, it lacks a bit on the Apple OS-X stuff, but you can use Technotes for that. From Security+ book by Sybex:

'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird? -

Do you think that the exam cram 2 is good for a beginner?
I read about the exam cram practice questions book but i saw that a lot of people are complaining about that book because of the erros in the questions.
I noticed that microsoft also has a network+ book does anybody have experience with that book?
ISBN: 0470065893 / 9780470065891
