Hi masiddiqui25, either do 640-801 again or any 642 series professional exam should renew your
    CCNA status.

"CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, either pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND exam, or pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE written exam."

If you let your CCNA expire, then you have nothing to recertify and you have to start over.

Even if you could recertify, I suggest starting from scratch since the exam has changed a lot since 2000.

Plus, I don't think you'd have too much trouble nailing it since you already did that once.

    Good luck icon_thumright.gif
