Network Engineers - What Do You Do On A Daily Basis?

I think the path I want to go is to become a network engineer. However, i have heard different things as far as what you guys do on a daily basis. I have heard that most network engineers do the same as regular IT guys (DT support, some server maintenence). I have also heard that you never really work on a router. Is this true?
Please help me straighten this out so I can finally get on path with my future, ASAP...
BTW, I currently have my A+, Network+, MCP(210). Should I get the Security+ also?
Thank alot everyone, in a advance.

Mishra Member Posts: 2,468 ■■■■□□□□□□The title "network engineer" varies from job to job. At my job, all I need to do is get my MCSE and I become a "network engineer".
So the real question is, what do you want to do? -
