My last day of work

I am on to new and better adventures!! Today is my last day working for the County Government and now I'm moving on to a private company in a different city.

I feel accomplished knowing that I did all this work trying to get myself to where I am now. I'm not where I'm at because of nepotism, I'm not where I'm at because I'm a brown-noser, and I'm not where I'm at because I knew someone who was already in the company. I did it through honest, hard work.

It took me 7 years to get myself out of the city that I'm at now. Patience is paying off because I think I would be in a worse situation if I were to move 7 years ago and not have the school and work experience that I have now.

So to those that cannot find a job: Don't give up. Your time will come. It may not take 7 years but the time in between should not be wasted. Work hard, keep your head up, and look toward the positive side of things.
