Not sure if i'm ready, but I have been putting it off for a long time. I just don't care for the material that the exam covers. If it wasn't for already passing 217 & 219, I would just skip it and take 218 instead. This should be my last exam for the 2000 track, because my NT 4.0 electives are supposed to count, but I will believe that when I see it on my transcript.

I actually found this exam to be easier than everyone made it out to be.... And for myself personally, I found it to be far easier than the 219.
I think the biggest thing to know is DNS and especially how DNS and DHCP work together. -

I'm sure you will do fine! Even if it is Friday the 13th! *sigh* I was actually planning to take the 219 again today.... But, I've not been hitting the new book that hard yet. -
ajs1976 Member Posts: 1,945 ■■■■□□□□□□Passed. I did well on WINS, DNS, and DHCP, but not that great on the other topics. I'm glad to finally have this one behind me.
If my electives do count towards the 2000 track, I will go to 292 next. If not, I will be going for Security+.Andy

because I only had one exam left and completing it will allow me to take the upgrade exams instead of taking the 4 core Windows 2003 exams.Andy

The upgrade path goes away in 9 months too so hurrrrrrrrrrrrrry. -
ITdude Member Posts: 1,181 ■■■□□□□□□□There are many people out there who certified originally under NT4, that want/wanted to keep the continuity of their MCSE certification. ie: NT4----Windows 2000----Windows 2003----Windows 2008 and beyond....
The other possibility is that they are still using a W2K network. So, there is a method to the madness!I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

I passed the 70-216 today aswell, scored 753, glad to see very few questions on legacy protocols & lots of questions on technologies/protocols which are still used today. I did sweat it though & thought that I'd be sitting this exam once again!

Now onto 70-217!
Then 70-219,220,221 then upgrade to 2003 before the end of March 2008 -
