This is my first post to this wonderful forum but I have been a lurker the last couple of months. I completed CCNA certification nearly three years ago and just achieved recertification yesterday via the ICND exam. Hopefully I can now start to be a contributor.
As some others have already mentioned in different posts, my advice to recertify via ICND or to certify going the two test route (640-811 ICND and 640-821 INTRO) is to still be familiar with exam topics published on the Cisco site for the INTRO when taking the ICND. I realize the idea behind the ICND is to dig deeper into various topics as compared to the INTRO, but there is not a direct one to one mapping. To prepare for recertification, I utilized both the INTRO and ICND Cisco Press books by Odom. For me at least, these were great resources to help me pass. Although I only took the ICND exam, I believe I would not have passed if I studied just using the ICND book/ICND exam topics.
