i finally got a terminal access server router... I've been looking for one. i think i got a fair deal, $130 for a 2509-RJ.
Fantastic. The project manager is inspired.

    Sounds reasonable... got my 2509 w/Octal cable for 80 shipped.

    The RJ models are a bit more expensive than the ones that use the octal cables, you're going to need a bunch of rollover cables to connect to the router and switches console ports.
    The only easy day was yesterday!

    BUT it gives you the freedom to choose your length for the ethernet cables.... Buying octal cables that are all a certain length sucks... Some dont reach, some are wayyy too long. This way you can tidy your cable work up. :D

    Then again, you can get yourself some ethernet couplers and use whatever length of straight-through UTP ethernet cable to extend the octal cable.

    nice. i was seeing them go for $160 and above. there was one for $125 but it had no octal cable, and the serial had been removed and it may have been an auction from asia. negative on that one.
